I was invited to stop by and see the new 4H Shooting Sports Program this
past weekend at MCSC and would like to thank Mark and Barb, their
daughters, and Steve for letting me join in the fun with them. They do a
great job with the youth and really emphasize firearm and archery safety.
I took two of my nephews and they had a great time. It's a shame more
parents are not involving their kids, I would think it is probably
because they just haven't heard about it, or know what a good job these
folks do in teaching.
I plan to really stress this opportunity at each of my hunter safety
classes. The youth have to take hunter safety if they want to hunt, but
this just gives them twelve hours of training. What a great follow-up or
pre course event the 4H Shooting Sports Program would be for all young
hunters and shooters.
Mark has even offered to help the Hunter Safety Class at MCSC out by
furnishing archery or other equipment for the class. What a fantastic
offer!
